Upon completion of the cosmetology program at ÃÛÌÒTV Alabama Community College, students must take and pass a Theory (Written) Examination and a Practical Examination to qualify for an Alabama cosmetology license. Students have two years to apply for a cosmetologist license in Alabama following the completion of either a Board approved cosmetology program or an apprenticeship. The Alabama Board of Cosmetology and Barbering is responsible for licensing and regulating the profession of cosmetology in the State of Alabama.
